Imphal, June 17 2014:
In a bizarre incident, a newly born male child, who was admitted to Raj Medicity at North AOC with breathing problem, has been left abandoned in the hospital by
his parents.
Speaking to media persons in this regard, Ksh Dinesh, media advisor of Raj Medicity, said that the baby was admitted to the hospital on June 6 by his father who is identified as Abdul Rashid from Sangai Yumpham Puleipokpi in Thoubal district.
When the condition of the child improved and was ready for discharge after treatment in ICU for one day, the father was found missing.

Ever since, no one has also come to collect the baby.
Dinesh further informed that officials of the hospital contacted Abdul Rashid through a mobile phone number which he registered in the admit form on June 8, telling him to come soon as the baby was to be discharge.
However, when he failed to turn up in the hospital even after the following day, the officials again tried to contact him.
But his mobile phone has been kept switched off since then.
Stating that the baby was referred from Public Hospital as there is no LSCS facility there, Dinesh said that the baby will be handed over to police as no one has came to take it.
