2nd MKS Lungnila Elizabeth Meritorious Award 2013 hled at Maram

As part of its endeavour to encourage students to pursue education with a 'cause' and recognize the younger minds' potential that have brought glory and laurels to the society through their achievements, Maram Students' Union (MKS) organised the 2nd MKS Lungnila Elizabeth Meritorious Award 2013 cum Annual Felicitation Programme at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Senapati today.
As a symbolic gesture to mark the 9th year after Baby Lungnila Elizabeth's demise, nine tree saplings were planted at the premises of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Senapati.
Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur Secretary Sarangajit Khundrakpam graced the function as chief guest, Maram Union President K Raisong and Maram Women Union President K Kina Lucy as honorary guests, MKS former President Karaiba Francis as moderator, Don Bosco College, Maram Principal Dr KO Sabastine and Don Bosco Higher Secondary, Senapati Principal William Nepuni as exhortionists.
A total of 139 meritorious students of different schools were feted at the function.
In recognition to its outstanding effort in producing meritorious students during the last academic session, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Senapati was conferred Institution of the Year award.
Speaking at the function, Sarangajit Khundrakpam said that learning of Mathematics and Science could be made easier if it is taught and learn in mother tongue.
Saying that education system of Manipur is not lagging behind comparing to other States, Sarangajit exhorted the teachers to take care of students with affection.
