Alleged murderer's house ravaged

Local people of Khongnang Pheidekpi today ravaged the house of Johnson who is one of the accused in the killing of mini-truck driver Thoithoi.
According to information culled from the spot, local people of Khongnang Pheidekpi ravaged the house of Thingujam Johnson (24) at about 4 pm in connection with the killing of Thoithoi.
A police team baton charged the mob and drove them away in the course of which late Thoithoi's 11 year old daughter Christina and some other people were injured.
To ward off any further untoward incidents, police have stationed themselves in Khongnang Pheidekpi area.
It may be recalled that Meinam Thoithoi of Khongnang Pheidekpi was brought home wounded by Thingujam Johnson of his locality in the night of February 10. Even as Thoithoi was rushed to RIMS, doctors declared him brought dead the same night.
Soon after, the local people rounded up Johnson and handed him over to police.
Meanwhile, post mortem examination of Thoithoi's corpse was conducted today at RIMS.
Keinatombi, convenor of the JAC constituted in connection with the death of Thoithoi contended that Thoithoi was murdered.
She further claimed that not only Johnson but some other people too must have been involved in the murder.
She also alleged that police have not been investigating the case with any seriousness.
