AR assists orphanages, rehabilitation centre

In its continuous efforts and relentless outreach to help the people in the challenging times of Covid-19, Maram Battalion under the aegis of Jwalamukhi sector/IGAR (E) distributed packed meals, rations, essential commodities; provided financial assistance to two Orphanages in Senapati district namely CCM Karong and Maraoni Foundation View Land Colony.
Commandant of the battalion exhorted the widows and children in the Orphanage to stay strong and follow all protocols regarding Covid-19 to remain safe.
He also assured them of all possible help including medical emergency in this hour of crisis.
The kind gesture shown by Assam Rifles at this crucial time of COVID was applauded by the Orphanage staff, local population and civil administration.
In a similar gesture, Moreh Battalion of IGAR (S) extended assistance to Adullam Drug Rehabilitation Centre, Moreh on Friday.
Essential commodities, masks, gloves, sanitizers, daily use items, sports equipment and sewing machines were provided to the rehabilitation centre.
The inmates were also educated about COVID-19 protocols like maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks and regular washing to hands to safeguard themselves.
The rehabilitation centre administrators expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciated the endeavour of Assam Rifles.
