DLSA holds legal awareness campaign

District Legal Service Authority, Imphal West on Tuesday conducted door-to-door legal awareness campaign at old age and children homes in Imphal West as part of NALSA's Pan India Awareness and Outreach campaign.
In a release, DLSA I/W secretary in-charge Y Somorjit informed that they visited Punya IWCDC and SAA, Thangmeiband; Langol Old Age home; Destitute Children Home, Tera; Observation Home, Takyel; Deaf and Mute School, Takyel; The Government Blind School, Takyel; Rural Women and Children Development Welfare Association, Tabungkhok; Nirvana Foundation POCSO, Ghari; Nirvana Foundation Children Home, Ghari; Observation Home for Girls, Langthabal; BB Paul Mental Development Home, Mongsangei; Shree Shree Radha Madan Mohan Nampala, Khagempali and Children Home run by United Social Development Association, SagOlband.
The door-to-door campaign led by MHS district and sessions judge Imphal West and DLSA I/W chairman A Guneshwar Sharma also had MJS chief judicial magistrate Imphal West and DLSA secretary Y Somorjit, media coordinator Salam Devananda, remand lawyer Khuraijam Kanta, front office P Tolen and PLVs of DLSA I/W.Essential items such as face masks, hand sanitizers and eatables were also distributed to these homes, he informed.
