10 years old rescues Monitor lizard

A monitor lizard rescued by one Thesawrus (10), son of Dr Huidrom Jiten Singh of Langmeidong Bazar Awang has been handed over to representatives of Joint Coordination Committee on Wildlife & Biodiversity (JCCWB), Manipur and Forest Department on Tuesday.
JCCWB convener Romesh Mngthoujam stated that they received a call on its helpline number informing that Thesawrus rescued a monitor lizard from being attacked by dogs and immediately took the lizard into their custody and set it free at Laipham Lotnung Laiching Protected Forest area with the help of staff of Range Forest Office, Kakching.
He also praised the 10-year-old child for rescuing the monitor lizard and showing his love for wildlife at such a tender age.
