JSCC condemns judges' decision

The Joint Students' Co-ordination Committee (JSCC) strongly condemned the judges ' decision on the September 30 boxing bouts in Incheon Asian Games in which Laishram Sarita and Laishram Devendro of Manipur who represented India were handed over defeats despite dominating their opponents, stated a release issued by the JSCC.
It may be mentioned that the opponents faced by both the Indian boxers represented Korea.
In both the bouts the world witnessed Sarita and Devendro undoubtedly dominating their opponents.
However, to the shock of everyone the judges announced their alleged manipulated decisions which fetched .
the Korean boxers the shameful wins, it asserted.
The alleged partiality shown in the judgement has discouraged many players of Manipur and they have lost faith in the international sports authorities.
Appealing to the State Government, Manipur Amateur Boxing Association, Manipur Olympic Association, Boxing Federation of India and Indian Olympic Association to look into the matter seriously, the JSCC (AMSU, MSF, DESAM, KSA.
SUK, AIMS) urged all the concerned authorities to take the matter to international level and discuss what went wrong, the release added.
