S Kebi reaches out to private school teachers

BJP Manipur State executive member Soiraisam Ongbi Kebi distributed essential items and monetary aid to private school teachers of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC today at a programme held at Chumthang Shannapung.
Soraisam Ongbi Kebi, managing director of Chumthang Shannapung and intended candidate from Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC in the upcoming general election said teachers in private schools had been teaching on minimal salary and the pandemic has hit them hard.
The relief items and monetary aids were distributed in recognition of the initiative taken by the teachers including online classes to mend up the huge academic losses due to closure of school because of the pandemic and this has nothing to do with politics and election, she added.
Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC is also lagging behind in the educational sector, she added.
S Kebi added that she understands the woes faced by students in poor families and parents unable to cater to the needs and requirements of their children as she also had faced similar problems during her childhood being bom in a poor family.
At times she even had to hide from teachers as she was unable to clear her tuition fees, she added.
She assured that she will work closely with both students and teachers and promised that the students of the AC will not face the problems she faced during her childhood and follow the ideas and knowledge passed on by teachers.
The programme was also attended by RK Taruni, Adhyaksha Imphal West; Sarangthem Jilasana, Hiyangthang ZP member; Yumnam Nabachandra, retd lecturer and Ch Shantakumar, retired teacher as presidium members.
