Y Mahendra, Naba Volume condoled

Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has expressed deep condolences over the sudden demise of Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee Manipur (STDCM) founder president Yumnam Mahendra.
DESAM prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace in its heavenly abode and also shared the grief of the bereaved family.
Jananeta Irawat Foundation for Education, Research, Development and Social Service also mourned the demise of its founder president Dr Yumnam Mahendra.
In a statement issued by its secretary Ksh Shanta, the foundation recalled Dr Mahendra as a person, who worked for lifting the status of the poor and working-class people of the society and said that the foundation has been working towards the same direction.
A virtual condolence meet was held on Friday during which the participants recalled the life and works of the late leader.
A two-minute silence was also observed in honour of the departed soul.
The foundation also shared the grief and pain of the bereaved family, the statement said.
On the other, DM College Alumni Association has expressed its deepest condolences on the death of noted singer Ningthoujam Nabachandra (Naba Volume).
In a release, the Association stated that a virtual condolence meeting was organised on Friday during which a two-minute silence was observed in his memory.
The members also prayed for his soul to rest in peace along with sharing the grief of his bereaving family.
