Imphal, July 09 2021:
State Admin National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has advised Scheduled Tribe students to update their correct bank account details in between July 13 to 27 .
In a notification, Tribal Affairs & Hills director C Arthur Worchuiyo pointed out that many students who applied for scholarship for the year 2020-21 have been rejected by NSP due to various errors such as incomplete or wrong bank account numbers, wrong IFSC code and mismatch of account name with applicant while registering on National Scholarship Portal, Ministry of Tribal Affairs even though it was verified and accepted by State Admin.
This is a one-time opportunity and if a student submits incorrect account details, he/she will not get another chance as per DBT guidelines and complaints from applicants who failed to correct their entries during the given dates will not be entertained, it further informed.
In another notice, the director sought applications for availing wheel chairs and hearing aids which are given to differently abled Scheduled Tribe individuals.
Interested and eligible individuals may apply in a plain paper enclosing relevant details including two photos (full for wheel chair, passport for hearing aid), doctor's recommendation along with photo copies of Tribal Certificate and Income Certificate issued by competent authority as well as photo copy of Aadhaar card of the applicant.
The application should be submitted to the office of CMO/TA&H during office hours within July 31, it added.
