Two more fatalities take Kpi's Covid toll 31

Kangpokpi, June 06 2021:
Following the demise of two more Covid-19 patients in Kangpokpi district, the fatality count from the dreaded disease now stands at 31.Sixty-year old Donkulung Daimei, son of Pouchalung Daimei of Pongringrong village in Kangpokpi district died at JNIMS Hospital Imphal while another 61 years' old P Solomon, son of Pashi of T Khullen in Kangpokpi district passed away at RIMS Hospital on Sunday around 7:10 am.
Both the deceased were buried at their respective villages following strict protocols.
Following three individuals found infected with Covid-19, the active caseload now stands at 92 in the district.
Meanwhile, the Covid Task Forces of Kangpokpi assembly constituency constituted by the local MLA continued to actively carry out various preventive measures in their respective areas.
Covid Task Force of Santolabari Parsain on Sunday conducted Covid related awareness programme in Santolabari village while Task Force of Tujang Area organised random mass testing in collaboration with Medical Department and police.
Covid Task Force of Kangpokpi continued to enforce Covid appropriate behaviour within its jurisdiction, while it also monitored the needs of home isolation patients and in identifying poorest of the poor for helping them with basic needs during the local lockdown.
