IRCS organises blood donation camp

Imphal, June 29 2021:
As a part of World Blood Donor Day observance; Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Imphal East District Branch in collaboration with JNIMS Blood Transfusion Department organised a voluntary blood donation camp at JNIMS on Tuesday.
Nine IRCS volunteers donated blood at the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, IRCS Imphal East chairman Narendra Ningomba informed that the camp was organised considering the problems faced by patients in getting blood during the Covid pandemic and lockdown period.
He also appealed to the public to come forward and donate blood to save lives.
On the other hand, IRCS Imphal East District Branch distributed face masks and hand sanitizers sent by Manipuris living in Taiwan to 35 ASHA workers at campus of Paradise Club, Wangkhei; Mantripukhri, Minuthong and Sangaipat PHCs.
Later, the IRCS team visited a family at Bashikhong Kongba Erong whose house was destroyed in an inferno and provided kitchen set, three mosquito nets, one water jerrycan, blankets, etc.
