'Eigi Imung, BJP gi Imung' campaign begins

Carrying the message on the various developmental works undertaken by the BJP government over the last 4.5 years, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda launched the Eigi Imung, BJP gi Imung' campaign at her Brahmapur Aribam Leikai residence on Thursday.
The launch function, which was attended by BJP Manipur in-charge Sambit Patra and North East in-charge Ajay Jamwal, began with the hoisting of the party's flag followed by the participants visiting houses in the locality and distributing leaflets containing details on government's developmental works along with a letter of the CM and a sticker with the mobile number-787878600 to seek public feedback on the government's performance.
Speaking on the occasion, A Sharda expressed belief that the people will lend support to the campaign, while recalling that the party had met and collected the opinions/suggestions of around 3000 experts ancfprominent personalities.
In his speech, Sambit Patra highlighted that the core principle of the campaign is that every household in every constituency is part of the BJP family.
He then predicted that the BJP will win 40 seats in the upcoming polls owing to the people's trust.
"Election is a festival of democracy.
A democracy requires the participation of the people," he commented.
A similar campaign launch programme was held at the Singjamet AC residence of Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Y Khemchand on Thursday, in the presence of Sambit Patra, Ajay Jamwal and A Sharda while in Wangkhei AC, MLA Y Erabot launched the Eigi Imung, BJP gi Imung' campaign at his Khurai Ahongei residence.
The campaign commenced with the hoisting of the BJP flag, followed by visitations to the various households in Ward no 21, 22, 23 and 26.On the hand, Khangabok AC intending BJP candidate Khundrakpam Menjor launched the campaign with hoisting of party flags, first at the residence of one Khundrakpam Jugol Singh in Polling Number 35/16 Khangabok Part (I) Awang Leikai and followed by others on Friday.
Organised under the supervision of Menjor, members of 35-Khangabok BJP Man-dal and BJP Manipur Pradesh also attended by launch event along with BJP Thoubal District president Yumnam Kumarjit, Mahila Morcha BJP Thoubal District president L Dhamenti Devi, Yuva Morcha Thoubal District president Th Jiten Singh, Khangabok Mandal vice president Dr Kh Romen and general secretary N Ramananda Singh.
The campaign, which will cover 47 polling areas, will culminate on Saturday.
