Discourse on Covid-19 prevention held

Bishnupur District COVID-19 Task Force organised a discussion programme on how to prevent COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Bishnupur CMO Dr N Gyaneshwar, District Family Welfare Officer Dr K C Luwang, District Surveillance Officer Dr L Raichandra, District Malaria Officer Dr Th Nabakishore, Bishnupur District COVID-19 Task Force convener Th Norendro and AMUCO assistant organisation secretary L Krishna Chandra were among those who attended the discussion.
The discussion mainly dwelt on early testing and treatment to prevent spread of Covid-19 and collective effort in overcoming the pandemic.
UCOBID, AMUCO and Task Force assured of extending all possible help to the district administration in ongoing mass vaccination drive.
Meanwhile, a mass vaccination programme was organised on Wednesday at Thiyam Leikai community hall in Bishnupur district.
The programme was organised by Educational Cultural and Organisation (ECHO) in coordination with department of health services, Bishnupur.
According to ECHO secretary Thiyam Modhumangol, the vaccination programme was organised specifically for around 300 people residing within the jurisdiction of ECHO, particularly Bishnupur ward No 8 and 9, who are yet to be vaccinated.
He said that volunteers of the organisation identified unvaccinated residents of the two wards and urged them to get the COVID-19 vaccine at the earliest so that Bishnupur could be free from the dreaded virus.
