NPP candidate calls for peaceful poll campaign

Kharibam Jiban has appealed to all the candidates of the constituency to fight the upcoming election in a peaceful and democratic manner while maintaining that violence will not bring any good and electors should be allowed to vote for candidate of their choice.
Addressing media persons at his Charangpat residence on Friday in the presence of his supporters, Jiban said described as very unfortunate that some workers of BJP candidate Yumnam Nabachandra used guns and indulged in violence in the connection with the upcoming election at Phoudel Mayai Leikai under Wangkhem AC on Thursday.
The incident indeed showcased that the BJP intends to use muscle and money power in the constituency to intimidate the people who are eager to exercise their franchise freely, he said Jiban as a leader committed to bringing welfare for people of Wangkhem AC strongly condemns violence related with election and called upon all the candidates in the constituency to fight the upcoming election in a peaceful manner.
According to Jiban, NPP is always against violence and the party considers people as God and accordingly appeals to people to vote for the party sincerely.
"NPP leaders always advice candidates to conduct election campaign with non-violence means and keeping faith in NPP ideology I decided to fight election to bring a change in Wangkhem AC," he added.
