DAO inspects farmland in Khangabok

Thoubal, August 03 2019:
In view of the rural distress caused by the deficit of rainfall this year in Khangabok AC, District Agriculture Officer, S Lemba and his staff along with BJP Manipur Pradesh former vice-president, Th Jadumani inspected the prevailing situation of arable lands in the said constituency.

The inspection team assessed the present condition of five farm lands in Khangabok village at Louwanbi farm land, Hangam farm land, Keipha farm land, Kiyam farm land, and Salam farm land, two farm lands in Samaram village (Samaram Panthak farm land, Samaram AwangPat farm land), four farm lands in Sangaiyumpham (Yotlou farm land, Loukhang Pat Mamang farm land, Pumtha farm land, Mamang Pat farm land) .
Speaking to media persons, DAO S Lemba said that three farmlands have been identified which have proximity to water sources and three pumps will be provided to meet the requirement of water in the farmlands at the earliest.
The team also inspected condition of 15 farmlands in Wangkhem AC as part of the tour.
