Imphal West ombudsman (NGNREGA) office inaugurated

Imphal, June 20 2022:
The long-awaited office of the Ombudsman (NGNREGA), Imphal West district was inaugurated by Imphal West Zila Parishad adhyaksha RK Taruni Devi at Haorang Sabal Block Office, DC Office Complex, Lamphelpat on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, DPC (RD&PR), Imphal West Keisham Jadumani Singh highlighted the role of Ombudsman in bridging the gap between officials and Job Card holders in the held.
Expressing confidence that activation of the ombudsman office will help address grievances and issues raised by the people relating to implementation of MGNREGS, he also called upon the officials concerned for timely disposal of the complaints of the people.
In her address, adhyaksha Taruni expressed gratitude to the government for selecting a separate Ombudsman for Imphal West district and also assured to extend her fullest support and cooperation to the Ombudsman so as to ensure cordial relationship between the implementing agency and the public at large.
Yumnam Laksman Singh, the newly appointed Ombudsman of Imphal West district, appreciated the efforts made by the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West for allotting office rooms for the Ombudsman.
He also thanked the DPC and the Project Officers for their untiring effort to open the office of the Ombuds man.
The event was also attended by Awangkhunou ZP members, Langthabal Ningombam GP pradhan, Project Officers of RD&PR, Imphal West namely Naorem Sharmila Devi and Vareichan Asaiwo Shimray, IT Managers N Chanu Santha and N Chanu Linthoi of RD&PR, Imphal West and all the staff members.
