NT Tour flagged off

Imphal, January 19 2015:
A National Integration Tour to Agra and Jaipur, organised by Loktak Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division was flagged off by Brigadier Sanjeev Chauhan, Commander Loktak Brigade today.
According to a statement issued by the PRO (Defence), Imphal, the Commander congratulated the selected students and exhorted them to gain valuable knowledge from the tour.
He encouraged them to utilise the opportunity to discover the prospects that are available outside the State and imbibe the positive values which shall empower them in their career building and subsequent contribution to the growth and development of Manipur.
He also expressed that such tour will help in spreading the
rich culture and tradition of Manipur to other parts of the Nation.
The tour team consists of 20 students and 4 teachers of St Xavier's School, Moirang, Bishnupur district The NIT team will visit important places of Agra and Jaipur including Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort & Birla Mandir.
Cultural events by NIT team to showcase Manipuri culture and friendly football match will also be organised during the visit to Jaipur and Agra.The tour is being conducted with an aim to strengthen the bonds between different communities of Manipur and give students a glimpse of the diverse Indian culture and thus encourage their involvement in Nation building, it added.
