The Congress has fielded its candidate with a deliberate calculation to ensure the re-election of Mani Charenamei, Dr Nimaichand Luwang observes.
Dr Luwang was speaking today at the election related meeting for NCP's outer candidate, LB Sona at Kakching Khunou bazaar and Langmeidong.
He said that the Congress has a plan to snatch votes of LB Sona by fielding its candidate in the outer Manipur constituency and importantly to ensure the re-election of Mani Charenamei in the coming Parliamentary elections.
Dr Nimaichand Luwang said that the Congress and the NSCN (IM) are like blood related brothers.
He said that it is the aspiration of the Congress and the NSCN-IM to re-elect the NSCN-IM sponsored candidate Mani Charenamei.
He said that the Congress not winning the coming elections is a foregone conclusion while accusing the Congress Government of instigating killings on daily basis in the name of encounter.
He further maintained that the Congress fielded its candidate in the outer Manipur knowing well that LB Sona could win if not a Congress candidate to grab the votes of Sona is fielded.
LB Sona is the common candidate of the MPP, NCP, MSCP and NPP in the outer Manipur constituency.
The meetings were also attended by Saikul MLA and NCP General Secretary, Doukhomang Khongsai, CPM, Manipur Secretary, Sarat Salam, NCP worker and ex-MLA Kunjo, ex-Minister, Jatra and other leaders of the party.
