CCpur, July 20 2021:
Capitalising on imposition of the total curfew for containing the spread of COVID-19, Churachandpur district police set up some bamboo barricades made by VDF and police personnel under the supervision of TCP OC in-charge James Vaiphei.
Bamboo barricades have been put up in Tuibong market area where traffic congestion is observed generally.
This will help commuters to follow lane discipline and prevent accident along Tiddim road, a TCP policeman said, adding that the district police plan to put up more bamboo barricades along Tiddim road if the initiative succeeds.
Moreover, police appealed to locals to make use of the barricades and not to tamper or destroy it by driving recklessly.
