Kakching MLA scans progress of shrine project

Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh on Sunday visited the under-construction shrine/shed of Kakching Wairi Ibudhou Khamlangba, which is being funded by him and inspected the ongoing work.
He was accompanied by Kakching Wairi Ibudhou Khamlangba Lai Seva Committee secretary Naorem Gopal and others.
Speaking on the sidelines, MLA M Rameshwar opined that no matter how refined one is they should always remember their origin, tradition and culture.
It is equally important the coming generation should know about other civilisations and have a deep understanding of their own culture and traditions.
Ibudhou Khamlangba has a long historical connection with Kakching as such he initiated construction of the new shrine/shed, the MLA said, adding that as soon as the construction work is completed a ritual will be performed for prosperity and health of the people.
The MLA during his visit also distributed masks and sanitizers to the construction workers.
