Imphal, July 27 2022: Modi Battalion of IGAR (S) distributing stationery items, clothing and sweets to children of Mission Blind School to connect with the students and encourage them.

The good work being done by the teachers and staff of the school was also acknowledged, said PRO IGAR (S), adding that the items were distributed under the motto of the Battalion, "One for all, All for one" .

Meanwhile, Sajik Tampak Battalion of IGAR (South) organised mass tree plantation drive at its Battalion HQ and all company operating bases as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The initiative aims to instil a sense of responsibility towards nature along with providing a boost to the green ecology in the region, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.

A total of 1,500 saplings of different fruit bearing trees were planted with additional benefit of preventing soil erosion and landslides in the area.
