Relief Committee lauds MLA Nemcha

The Manipur Theological College Calamity Relief Committee, which was formed under the initiative of Kangpokpi Town Committee after the upper floor of the college building was razed down to ashes by a mysterious fire on April 19 midnight, has lauded local MLA Nemcha for donating 40 bundles of GCI Sheets.
Committee Secretary Haokholun Chongloi while speaking during the handing over function of the donated GCI Sheet to the College authority this morning at the college campus said that everybody in the state from the Hills as well as Valley have been emotionally, mentally and physically moved when they came to know about the calamity.
MTC is the first and only theological college of the state where every theologian either from the hills or valley come to learn.
Therefore, it has been valued and loved by everyone.
So, out of love and considering the value and significant of the college as well as in the larger interest of the theologian community, Kangpokpi A/C MLA Nemcha Kipgen has donated 40 bundles of GCI Sheets worth around Rs 1.34 lakhs when the committee approached her for assistance, he said.
While informing that every church, particularly in Sadar Hills has been requested to organize a prayer program on June 1(Sunday) for early re-opening of the college, the Relief Committee also appealed to every like minded individual to make generous donation towards this cause.
