27th Manipuri Language Day on August 20 in Tripura

Manipur Literary and Cultural Forum Tripura is set to organise "Manipur Language Day", celebrating completion of 27 years of Manipuri language since it was first enlisted under the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution.
The State-level "27th Manipuri Language Day" will be observed at Khowai Town Hall, Tripura on August 20 .
Professor Manipur University P Guneshwar, general secretary Naharol Sahitya Premi Samiti Imphal AC Netrajit, Editor of Reform Longjam Somorendro, Joint Editor of Marup Newspaper (Truipura) RK Tarunjit Singh, N Rabindra and Major Mona Meitei will attend the event as presidium members, informed a statement of Manipur Literary and Cultural Forum, Khowai, Tripura today.
Artistes of Jawaharlal Nehru Dance Academy Imphal and Tripura will perform cultural items including songs and dances
