IFS officers take charge as divisional forest officers

Kakching, July 23 2021:
Three IFS Officers have assumed charges of three territorial forest divisions of the state namely Jiribam, Thoubal and Chandel on Friday in accordance to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel Division) on July 14 .
Rajesh Dashrath Darade (IFS 2016 batch) assumed charge as DFO of Jiribam Forest Division, Praveen Kumar Nigam (IFS 2017 batch) as DFO Thoubal which covers Thoubal and Kakching districts and Vijay Sahebrao Kanthale (IFS 2017 batch) as DFO of Chandel district.
Rajesh Darade from Baramati in Pune district, Maharashtra is a graduate in Computer Engineering from Pune University and had served as deputy conservator of forests, biodiversity and climate change in the Forest Department before assuming charge as DFO Jiribam.
Praveen Kumar Nigam, a native of Uttar Pradesh is a physics graduate from St Stephen's College Delhi and had served as assistant conservator of forests in the Forest Head Quarters, Sanjenthong while Vijay Sahebrao Kanthale was serving as director of Manipur Zoological Garden before assuming charge as DFO Chandel.
He is a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Kolhapur University and worked as a lecturer in an engineering college before joining the Indian Forest Services.
