Kangpokpi, July 23 2021:
Asian Highway Land Affected Villages Chairmen/Chief's Association and Thadou Students' Association, Sadar Hills have slammed the revenue commissioner for the allegedly cooking up meeting resolutions issued on July 6 .
The two bodies said that the proceedings of the July 6 meeting held in the conference hall of Secretari at South Block Imphal to resolve the issue relating to construction/develop-ment of National Highway 2 issued by commissioner (Rev) is not acceptable to the representatives.
Pointing out that the meeting was just a casual discussion and no resolution was adopted or taken during the meeting, the two bodies asserted that the revenue commissioner cooked up the meeting procedures on his own without the knowledge of the representatives.
The two associations also said that the declaration made by the revenue commissioner of some parts of Kangpokpi district as part of Imphal West district is a mockery and will never be accepted.
They further said that the meeting procedure allegedly drafted by the revenue commissioner was never circulated to the representatives rather it was obtained after few weeks.
