AR's motorcycle expedition proceeds to Nagaland

Imphal, November 13 2017:
With an aim to spread the message of peace and unity, Assam Rifles Tri Nation Motorcycle expedition travelling through the vast uncharted territories of North Eastern India, Bangladesh and Myanmar, left for Nagaland today after spending two days in lmphal.
According to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S), Dy CM Y Joykumar flagged off the rally from Mantripukhri today.
The Dy CM was briefed on the expedition by the team leader, Col PKS Gaur who described the teams experience during the journey.
The Dy CM interacted with team members and acknowledged their role in spreading the noble message of unity and peace.
A special cultural programme was organised by the children of ARPS, Mantripukhri to bid farewell to the riders who rode towards Kohima before heading for their final destination, Shillong.
During their halt in Imphal, the team called on the Governor of Manipur Najma Heptulla and briefed her about the expedition.
The team members also interacted with the NCC cadets and the youth of Imphal, before paying homage to the fallen heroes at Imphal War Cemetery, it added.
