Christian MLAs hold Advent Christmas

An Advent Christmas programme organised by Christian MLAs of Manipur was held at the CM's official bungalow this afternoon wherein Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh conveying Christmas wish to the Christian community expressed hope that celebration of Lord Jesus's birth strengthen the age-old bond between the hill and valley people.
Pointing out that in a secular country like India there is no room for religious discrimination, the CM also advocated that celebration of religious events need to be construed as opportunities for the people to promote peace and harmony in the society.
Apart from State's Christian and Muslim MLAs and Ministers, Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar Singh and Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai were also present at the event.
As a part of the programme, comedians Hemanta and Joseph respectively presented his testimony and amused the gathering while kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen distributed Christmas gifts.
