Different objects of World War II period including a pilot's seat of a fighter aircraft or bomber have been handed over to the Second World War Imphal Campaign Foundation.
The World War II remains and artefacts collected by late Thangjam Babudhon of Keishampat Aheibam Leikai were handed over to members of the foundation by his son Dr Thangjam Imochoubi today.
The objects handed over to the foundation included a bicycle made in Japan, a pilot's seat of a fighter aircraft or bomber, aircraft ammunition container, meat blader, water container stand and a hand shower pump.
Dr Imochoubi said that the World War II artefacts handed over to the foundation would be a treasure for future generations.
It would be more beneficial to the people if people hand over such objects to the foundation in case they possess such objects of historical interest.
Co-founder of the foundation Arambam Angamba said that the objects donated to the foundation today would be put in the foundation's war museum.
Moreover, the foundation is planning to commemorate the Battle of Imphal next year.
