WW-II items handed over to ICF

Imphal, December 22, 2013:
Dr Imochaobi Thangjam of Keishampat Aheibam Leikai today handed over several items used during the World War-II to Imphal Campaign Foundation (ICF) in the name of his deceased father Aheibam Babudhon.
The items handed over to the ICF included pilot's seat of bomber aircraft, aircraft ammunition container, mid-cleaver, a Japanese bicycle, hand shower pump and water container stand.
Dr Imochaobi said that the items were collected by his father.
Many other items including a wing of bomber aircraft owned by his father have already perished.
The remaining collection of WW-II items has been handed over to Imphal Campaign Foundation for proper preservation in a museum to showcase the history of World War-II to the present generation, he noted.
