Governor Gurbachan Jagat has conveyed heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Janmastami.
"While celebrating this auspicious occasion, we should re-dedicate ourselves to the ideals, eternal values and the path of righteousness as espoused by lord Krishna", the Governor said in his greeting.
MPCC president Gaikhangam has also greeted the people on the occasion of Janmasthami.
He prayed that the holy festival may herald truth, peace and development in the
state.
Ahead of the Independence Day, the MPCC president called upon all to resolve once again to protect the sovereignty and integrity of India.
IGAR (South) Major General AK Choudhary, AVSM, SM, VSM and all ranks of Assam Rifles have extended warm greetings and good will to all the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Janmasthami which is to be celebrated tomorrow.
According to a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles, the IGAR (South) expressed hope that this festival would herald an era of peace, progress and prosperity in the region and enhance the spirit of unity, cohesiveness and brotherhood among the people of the State.
