Even though state government has many times announced that the state prepares for combating outbreak of Swine Flu, a 17 year old boy who was brought up at JN Hospital, Prorompat with suspect of suffering from the disease has been discharged with little care and reported giving no comment to relief the family from doubt.
The 17-year old boy who left the hospital with disappointment hailed from Phubala village of Bishnupur district.
Regarding the information, the uncle of the boy staying in Imphal said the boy returned back from Aizawl yesterday after appeared at a recruitment test for Airforce.
He went to the JN Hospital for medical check up after his complaint of headache, fever and running nose which family doubt of infecting by Swine Flu.
He arrived at Imphal yesterday evening at about 5.30 pm.
Even though he was about to admit at a private hospital (Raj Polyclinic at North AOC) in Imphal but he has no require money for admission and treatment, he stayed the night to one of his friend�s house.
Family with suspect contacted the control room opening at the state health department who provided a contact number of doctor named Kunjakishore (9836033209).The control room also suggested to go to JN Hospital as it will be more comfortable than that of facilities provided at RIMS for the observation the boy.
But when contacted with the doctor over phone, he informed that he is not related with the matter.
Later, when family again contacted the control room, the man at the control room said, than they were also helpless.
With the effort to know the truth behind, the family contacted with the state health minister, Ph Parijat to his mobile number.
The minister advised to contact with another doctor, Dr Bhubon.
When family again contacted with the doctor over phone, he informed the family to bring up the patient at the JN Hospital at 7 am with some suggestions for precautionary measures.
He also clarified that doctor Kunjeshore who the family earlier contacted was not related with the disease.
As per the doctor�s advised, the boy was brought up at JN Hospital.
Apparently without taking care from the doctor, the family with the patient stayed at the hospital hill 12 noon waiting for observation.
Later, one doctor named Lokeshor attended the boy but allegedly without giving any comment on his observation and without any advice for necessary test asked the family to bring back the boy.
The uncle of the boy while telling the events detailing expressed dissatisfaction over the grievances that was faced by the family even though government has announced categorically on the steps taken up by the state to combat with Swine Flu after a girl was confirmed infecting by the disease.
