Apart from observation of Patriot Day today by many civil organizations, local clubs and schools across the state today, the same was held outside the state.

In Tripura, the day was observed by the Manipuris settling there under the aegis of leading civil organizations at Dorimur Community hall at Agartala.
The function was graced by president of the Patriotic Writers� Forum, Imphal, Soubam Tomba.
Former Pradhan of the Bamupriya Gram Panchayat N Surendranath presided over the function.
Pradhan Laishram Barkoshore, vice president of the Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Tripura, M Rameshwor and MLA of Damuriya Assembly constitution, Haricharan also attended as guest of honours of the function.
Performing of pung cholom, dance item, recitation competition etc.
marked the observation function.
In the state, forty-four people also donated blood in a blood donation camp at JN hospital jointly organized by the KM Blooming English School, Khangabok, Nehru Yuba Kendra, Thoubal, Popular Youths club Khangabok part-III and Raising Union Khangabok under the aegis of the Lioness Club, Thoubal Branch.
A total of 44 units of blood donated in the camp which was held with a blood donation awareness programme in which member of the Khangabok Zilla Parishad Kh Kumari and DC in charge W Rajen attended as chief guest and president respectively.
The Thoubal district administration also observed the day at the district headquarters.
Adhyaksha of Thoubal Zilla Parishad, MA Latif and DC in-charge W Rajen graced the function as chief guest and president respectively.
At Thanga in Bishnupur district also Habitation Education Committee and Social Action Platform jointly observed the Patriots Day at Laisoi.
MLA T Mangibabu graced the function as chief guest and additional project director, Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan T Prameshwor and other also attended the function.
The Social Volunteer�s Association, Imphal, the Kwakta Sabal Aided Primary School also observed the day today and paid floral tributes to the heroes of Manipur who scarified their life for the independence of the state.
Managing committee of Kwakta Sabal Aided School Primary School observed the day with an award distribution function with former minister Md Abdul Hakim as chief guest.
