The Manipur Peoples Party (MPP) is organising a Public Dialogue on 23/7 at GM Hall on August 17, 18, and 19 in order to bring out a white paper on the incident, party president Dr Nimaichand Luwang said.
He was speaking at the observance of Patriots Day at the MPP Office here.
He said public observations, opinions and suggestions in connection with the Khwairamband Bazar incident of July 23 will be collected and a high power working group shall prepare a white paper regarding the incident for future course of action.
The party has invited all civil society organisations, NGOs, political parties, representatives of media, senior citizens, and all concerned to participate in the discourse.
Dr Nimaichand Luwang further said that the sacrifices and dedications of the Patriots like Bir Tikendrajit, Thangal General and Niranjan Subedar are worth remembering.
He called upon the people to renew a pledge to stand united, and pledge to make the land peaceful and worth living in.
Speaking on the occasion, MPP MLA RK Anand said the people of the state should cherish the ideals of the patriots.
Expressing deep suspicious that the lawlessness in the state could be the collective scheme of the Central and State governments, RK Anand begged the people to raise the strength of MPP MLAs to at least 30. Presidium members of the programme included Dr L Chandramani, Th Chaoba, and O Joy.
