As a part of its ongoing campaign against COVID-19, the Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA), Imphal West District Committee along with the Takyel Zilla Parishad organised an awareness campaign on COVID-19 at Takyel Kolom Leikai Ima Sindam Shanglen cum Community Hall today.

Addressing the gathering, Geetchandra said that COVID-19 is a contagious disease which has been spreading fast across the world but it is not a deadly one if we strictly adhere to the SOPs issued by the Government.
However if the protocols and SOPs are not followed properly it will spread to every household making it difficult to control, he added.
He appealed to the public to follow the SOPs like wearing face masks properly while going out, avoid crowded places, maintain physical distance and to frequently wash hands with soaps and to use alcohol based sanitizers.
Other speakers also appealed people to follow COVID-19 SOPs (Standrad Operating Procedures).
Face masks were also distributed to all the attendees of the programme.
