Zero fatality, 25 new cases reported

Imphal, December 09 2021:
The state recorded zero Covid 19 death for three consecutive days, as government bulletins reported no new death cases on Thursday.
Meanwhile, 25 new positive cases were reported out of 1460 samples tested in the last 24 hours, registering a daily positivity rate of 1.71 per cent against 1.47 percent recorded on Wednesday.
The active caseload rose to 339 out of which 59 (17.40 per cent) are in home isolation.
There is no updated information on bed availability in different hospitals and Covid care facilities.
Out of the 16 districts, only six reported fresh Covid cases on Thursday with Imphal West reporting highest cases at 19.So far, the state has recorded 96,054 positive cases and 1611 fatalities since the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 249 new positive cases and eight fatalities have been reported during the current month out of which 185 new cases and 6 fatalities were added in the last seven days alone.
According to official reports, all the 25 new positive cases (15 male & 10 female) are from among the general population and their samples were confirmed at RIMS (3), JNIMS (1) and other testing centres (21) .
The positive cases are from Imphal West (19), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1), Kakching, Senapati (1) and Churachandpur (1).All necessary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
In the last 24 hours, 11 patients were discharged from home isolation (1), RIMS (1), JNIMS (1) and CCCs (8).The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,25,454 (general population - 1,21,021 and CAPF personnel - 4,433) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,23,130 (general population - 1,18,707 and CAPF personnel - 4,423) and number oi active cases is 339 (general population - 334 and CAPF personnel - 5).The recovery rate is 98.15 per cent.
A total of 379 D-type and 67 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 6744 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 12,95,955 including 9,18,070 fully vaccinated individuals.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (43,992), Imphal East (27,854), Thoubal (9483), Churachandpur (10,189), Kangpokpi (2788), Tamenglong (3284), Bishnupur (9224), Senapati (2248), Ukhrul (2997), Kakching (6442), Chandel (2361), Noney (1074), Tengnoupal (1077), Jiribam (1022), Kamjong (955) and Pherzawl (464) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (664), Imphal East (476), Thoubal (178), Churachandpur (162), Kangpokpi (62), Tamenglong (14), Bishnupur (192), Senapati (10), Ukhrul (44), Kakching (113), Chandel (41), Noney (4), Tengnoupal (13), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0).Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 40,430 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 24,771 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 4,61,712 tests per million population against the national average of 4,65,859 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.58 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 1460 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 1.71 per cent per cent while the cumulative positivity stands at 8.76 per cent.
