Nemcha celebrates Advent Christmas with widows

Kangpokpi MLA Nemcha Kipgen was seen visibly emotional after seeing the love and care of Kangpokpi widows who joyously danced with her and prayed for her during an Advent Christmas celebration held in Kangpokpi town on Thursday.
Kangpokpi mothers, mostly widows, organised the Advent Christmas at their prayer centre, Shalom Healing and Prayer Centre.
The widows and the founder of the centre presented a gift to the MLA as a mark of gratitude and appreciation for her concern and love towards the mothers of Kangpokpi and the centre in particular.
Speaking at the function, MLA Nemcha Kipgen expressed that the prayers of Kangpokpi mothers and widows at this centre had a huge contribution in the attainment of districthood, peace and harmony in the land and the society, adding, "God always hears the humble prayer of the widows" .
Nemcha quoted a Bible verse from the book of Job, "A wicked person earns deceptive wages, and whoever sows injustice will reap calamity and my experience shows that those who plant trouble and cultivate evil will harvest the same".
The MLA also presented a warm shawl each to the mothers and widows of Kangpokpi town with a few important prayer points to be remembered during their prayers.
She was seen visibly emotional when she danced together with the widows and mothers of the Kangpokpi, and they kneeled down in praying for her during the occasion.
Mention may be made that mostly widows of the district unceasingly hold prayers at Shalom Prayer and Healing Centre established by Rev Thangsat Kipgen and his wife Chinneilhing for peace and harmony, for the welfare of orphaned children, drug users/addicts as well as for the well-being of politicians, district administration, police, CSOs leaders, etc.
