5 day State level exhibition concludes

The 5 day State Level Exhibition of different products produced by differently abled persons of Manipur was concluded today at Tera Ideal Club complex, Tera Bazar.
The exhibition was organised by Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur under the sponsorship of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment as a part of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, 2021 under the theme of 'Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World'.
The valedictory programme was attended by Brogen Singh Akoijam, dean academics RIMS; P Gopendro, president Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons; L Amarendra Sharma, National Awardee; RK Tombisana, president Ideal Club Tera Keithel as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Brogen Singh Akoijam said December 3 is annually observed as International Day of Persons with Disabilities worldwide.
Organising an exhibition programme of different products produced by differently abled people is a great initiative and encourage the organiser to continue organising such event.
Brogen Singh added that the world has been brought into a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic since the last 2 years.
The pandemic has affected all walks of life, from social gatherings to travel and all.
It would be beneficial for all of us to consider what to do in the coming days when the pandemic has passed, he added.
We all should really consider things to be done in order to make post-Covid world a better world and differently abled individuals should all participate all the same.
Disabled individuals should take the same role as any other person in the day today activities of the society, he added.
Certificates and memento were also distributed to the participants of the exhibition.
