Imphal, July 11 2011:
With reports of a rice truck making entry in the official record without unloading the rice which it was carrying from Jiribam to Imphal, a high level committee of three officers have been formed and begun probe into the matter, said Ksh Thoiba, Deputy General Manager FCI, Imphal today.
Speaking to reporters in a press meet, Thoiba said that a high level committee has began probe into the matter and will soon find the real thing behind the allegations.
If any official of the FCI was found guilty, stern action will be taken up against those officials, he said.
FCI had also requested Manipur DGP and SPs to check of any wrongdoing by the rice trucks while ferrying rice and other PDS items in the state, he said.
He also appealed to the Transport Contractors not to do any such things which may defame the FCI and its working.
