Motor rally celebrating India's freedom reaches state

Imphal, November 10 2021:
The Assam Rifles Motorcycle Rally organised in collaboration with JAWA Motorcycles to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence passed through Manipur on Wednesday.
The rally team crossed Senapati by evening.
The rally team comprising 24 riders had started from Silchar on November 7 and reached Singhat in Churachandpur on Tuesday.
The rally will cover all seven states in the northeast and will pass through all the state capitals.
The purpose of the rally is aligned towards spreading awareness among the locals about the efforts taken by Assam Rifles to curb insurgency in north east, support the development in remote areas and also to remember the sacrifices of the brave soldiers in the line of duty.
The Motorcycle Rally was joined by IGAR (S) major general Alok Naresh on its journey through Manipur on Wednesday.
The rally traversed through INA museum at Moirang in Bishnupur district before reaching the historic Kangla Fort in here.
En-route to its journey, the bikers were welcomed with vigour and enthusiasm by the locals at various places.
During the interaction at various places, the locals brought out the life changing positive impact of Civic Action Projects undertaken by Assam Rifles in Manipur.
Alok Naresh and DIG Assam Rifles brigadier Ashish Ranjan also interacted with the locals at a medical camp organised by the Assam Rifles at Ningthoukong and N Khunou villages.
The Bike Rally led by IGAR (South) was received at Kangla Fort by the Manipur Female Polo Team members and the Imphal NCC cadets whose enthusiasm was noteworthy.
After a brief interaction with the Polo Team and the NCC cadets, the bike rally was flagged off from Kangla Fort to Jwalamukhi by the General Officer.
According to our Senapati correspondent, the rally participants were given a warm reception at Maram Garrison by officiating Commander Colonel Sikhar Jaiswal of 22 Sector and Colonel Arnab Mitra, Commandant of Maram Battalion along with all families and children.
The bikers will interact with the locals and motivate them to join defence force to serve the nation.
This expedition also stressed at women empowerment thereby generating awareness on various schemes initiated for girls and career opportunities available for them.
The rally will also be campaigning on anti-Drug awareness.
One of the participants identified as Rahul stated that in celebration of the 75th year of Independence, the Assam Rifles organised the bike rally to spread the message of integrity and unity and to thank to all North-eastern states and its people for their contribution towards the development of the country during the past 75 years.
He also extended gratitude to all security forces working day and night for the security of the" North eastern states.
The team will hold the night at 33 Assam Rifles, Maram and would finish their journey in Shillong, Meghalaya.
