Woman with kidney ailment given financial aid

Former vice president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Bikram Kongkham has provided a Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) card and financial assistance to a woman who is suffering from kidney ailment, today.
Speaking to media persons during a one day awareness programme on Ayushman Bharat and CMHT conducted at his residence at Nagamapal Soram Leirak, Co-ordinator of CMHT, Th Sarat said that the schemes were introduced to provides health care services to the poor and vulnerable families.
Owing to the lack of awareness, there are less than 20 beneficiaries in Thangmeiband Kendra and only 5 to 6 in Uripok Kendra.
The Ayushman Bharat scheme provides coverage of upto Rs 5 lakh and CMHT provides coverage of upto Rs 2 lakh, he said and appealed all the eligible individuals to apply for the schemes so as to get the healthcare services at free of cost.
Bikram Kongkham stated that Chief Minister N Biren launched the CMHT scheme after considering the fact that many impoverished people are unable to take proper care of their health due to the rising health care costs.
