AIIMS finds nothing on patient diagnosed with Kidney stone by RIMS

In an embarrassing case of medical negligence, a woman patient who was diagnosed with stone case in her kidney by a doctor at RIMS Hospital was found not having any sort of kidney stones after she undergone treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi following advice of the same doctor who attended on her.
Lourembam Aberani (29) d/o of L Dhananjoy of Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai was admitted to RIMS Hospital after her health deteriorated.
During the course of the treatment, Dr AK Kuku made a confirmation that a large size stone was found in her kidney and advised the family of the patient to get treatment at AIIMS as there will be complication if the patient is operated in RIMS Hospital.
Following the advice, Aberani was rushed to AIIMS with much financial difficulty for removal of the kidney stones but surprisingly after a thorough medical examination conducted there, it was confirmed that no stone was detected in kidney of the patient.
According to family members of the patient, around Rs 1.5 lakh had been spent on treatment of the patient at RIMS Hospital.
