Tuaitengphai health centre renovated after 47 years

The building of Tuaitengphai Primary Health Sub Centre which has been reconstructed and renovated after 1974 under PMJVK was inaugurated by GS Haupu, Singngat MLA and chairman of MANIREDA & MTDC, on Monday.
DC Churachandpur Pawan Yadav was the functional president of the programme which was also attended by CMO district hospital Dr VC Pau, SDO/BDO Saikot Alfred Khaute and Samuel Tungnung, chief of Tuaitengphai as guests of honour.
GS Haupu, during his speech, stated after 74 years, the Tuaitengphai PHSC building could be renovated largely due to the help of the chief minister and announced that the PHSC would be upgraded to the status of a primary health centre.
He stated that upgrade of Singngat CHC to a sub district hospital is underway and will be completed soon while revealing that Suangdoh PHSC has also been upgraded to PHC.
The MLA lauded Dr Steeve (Minlun) for his commitment towards improving health services in the interior parts of the district like Behiang and for all the rewards he has received.
Highlighting what he has done for his constituency, GS Haupu said that many infrastructures have been put in place, giving top priority to health, water supply and road communication.
He also announced that the Khuga ring road shall be black-topped soon while claiming that there are no areas which are more progressive than Singngat areas.
The MLA said that although he lacks in terms of education he has done more than what the educated people have accomplished by dint of his sheer love for development and sacrifice for the people, for which he had sold his paddy fields and some of his immovable assets.
In his speech, DC Pawan Yadav pointed out the need to make the PHSC as a people-friendly healthcare centre and assured of providing all necessary logistic support.
He noted that since the place is located close to the town, staff may work efficiently to provide healthcare to the people.
