27 AR conducts Jettwings Aviation selection programme at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, April 20 2021:
27 AR, Ukhrul today conducted a selection programme for the Ukhrul youths willing to undergo for training in different services sectors sponsored by Department of Tribal Affairs & Hills, Government of Manipur.
The shortlisted candidates (both boys & girls) would be provided one year Integrated Graduate Dual Diploma Programme in Cabin Crew Management & Airport Operations, Hospitality & Tourism Management at Jettwings Institute Guwahati.
Col Rippon Bora Commandant 27AR exhorted youths by comforting them with words of confidence during the short interaction before the interview programme.
He urged the aspirants to take the opportunities provided by the Government and urged to contribute their service in nation building for a better tomorrow.
He also emphasized on self sustenance project that were feasible to take up in the district.
Seeing the large scale demand for red meat consumption in the Ukhrul town he said, piggery would be a viable integrated model farming.
Meanwhile, a local farmer Koireng Shaiza shared his experiences on piggery rearing in his Symbiotic Farms that benefited him in multiple ways while another budding farmer Yangmi Ruivah expressed that one of the main factor that hinder local farmers is financial inability, even the bank in the district showed unwillingness to support or provide loans which is very unfortunate.
The 27 Assam Rifles in collaboration with Alem Shimray and Career Pathfinder, Ukhrul took the initiative of arranging and guiding youths in different ways for the Jettwings interview programme.
It may be mentioned that 27AR, Ukhrul sent some local farmers to Sikkim in 2019 to learn the art of organic farming practice and regarding interlink market system.
