One Kennedy Elangbam of Haorang Khunou Maning Leikai, Imphal West district said that he made five attempts to enlist his name in the electoral roll but without success.
He said that he was bom on September 20, 1993.He went on to ask how he can enrol himself in the electoral roll.
In response, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer has advised Kennedy to meet the booth level officer of the concerned polling station.
The election officials further told him that he can enrol himself in the electoral roll after consulting the Patsoi ERO and the AERO.
Saying that online enlistment facility is also available, the officials said that he may go to the CEO's office, if necessary.
Another young man from Atengba village in Tousem sub-division of Tamenglong district, Luthuankhamliu Rongmei said that he wants to enrol for the coming Assembly election.
His date of birth is August 25, 1996 and he is yet to exercise his franchise rights.
Moreover his name is yet to be enrolled in the electoral roll.
Officials from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer have suggested that he meet booth level officers and others and get himself enrolled.
