CRPF conducts MCA at Karong

Senapati, November 27 2020:
109 Battalion CRPF under the aegis of IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector conducted a civic action programme on November 27 at Karong, Senapati.
Solar lanterns and sewing machines were distributed to the marginalised section of society as a part of the programme.
The programme was attended by Ravindra Singh Rautela, DIGP Range Imphal, Ravi Chaudhary, IPS, Addl SP Senapati, Loli Adanee, Senior Manager Air India, S Thaile, former ADC member, Lohrii John, former general secretary Naga People's Organisation, Issac Thaoveinii, president Poumai Naga Students Organisation, Ng Dehe Daniel, commissioner Karong Senapati Town Committee and officers and jawans of CRPF.
A cultural programme was also organised as a part of the occasion.
Ravindra Singh expressed his happiness in getting the opportunity to help the needy and marginalised sections of the society and stated that CRPF will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
Vinod Kumar, Commandant 109 battalion said that it is the need of the hour and their primary duty to take care of needy persons of society and their smiles inspire them to do more and more for them.
He thanked all the people who helped in organising the function and giving him an opportunity to help the people of Senapati.
He further said that earlier CRPF had distributed sports items at Thong Upper Primary School, constructed a public toilet, distributed sewing machines to widows and solar lanterns to various villages in Senapati district.
