Free veterinary camp held

Imphal, February 27 2019:
Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) with the assistance of 14 Mobile Field Hospital (MFVH) and 3 Army Dog Unit conducted a free veterinary aid camp at Lilong Chajing Mamang Leikai, Imphal - West today.
A team of veterinary doctors and staff provided free medical treatment to the livestock of locals.
Commandant Keithelmanbi Battalion inaugurated the camp along with Joy Singh, Councillor Lilong Nagar Panchayat, said a statement of PRO IGAR (South) .
Over 750 domestic animals from around 10 villages were administered free medical treatment along with provision of free medicines and vaccination.
The medical team also delivered a lecture on the various diseases and their preventive measures.
The locals were also educated on upkeep, maintenance, hygiene & sanitation issues related to the livestock, said the AR.
The locals appreciated the AR for the programme.
