Lok Adalats settle cases

Under the motto of 'Access to Justice for All' and to provide easy, quick and procurable justice to the people, Manipur State Legal Services Authority organized three Lok Adalat sessions at the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Complexes of Churachandpur, Chandel and Senapati respectively.
During these sessions Pre-Litigation cases from different branches of State Bank of India (SBI) were taken up.
The Lok Adalat held at Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Complex, Churachandpur was chaired by Yumkham Rother, MJS, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Churachandpur wherein 12 Pre-Litigation Bank cases were settled and a sum of Rs 8,81,229 cleared for recovery.
W Tonen Singh, MJS, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandel chaired the Lok Adalat held at Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Complex, Chandel during which 15 cases involving a sum of Rs 7,17,817 were settled.
In the Lok Adalat at Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Complex, Senapati, 85 cases involving Rs 30,58,225 were settled under the chairmanship of Ph Surendrakumar Singh, retd District and Session Judge, Manipur East.
