Imphal, July 27 2020:
The Co-ordinating Body of Trade Unions, Manipur has urged President Ram Nath Kovind to fulfil their demands, which among others include compensation for migrant workers who died unable to reach home during the lockdown, all non-income tax paying households be provided a cash transfer of Rs 7,500 per month for six months, pension of Rs 3000 for 60 years and above, social security, corpus fund of Rs 10,000 crore in order to implement the Unorganised Sector Social Security Act 2008, implement new labour laws, provide more funding on education, health and agriculture, etc.
