KVS launches hotel to boost hospitality services in Ukhrul

To boost the hospitality sector in Ukhrul, the KVS group has launched a hotel that could cater services even to international tourists and to those looking for a homely stay in the hilly town.
On Tuesday, Ukhrul deputy commissioner R Sudhan has officially launched the opening of 'Sem Hotel' in the presence of well wishers, members of social organizations and KVS group near the Viewland Church at Phungreitang.
"The hotel is the first of its kind in Ukhrul and has the acquired capacity to cater services to both domestic and foreign tourists," said KVS chairman Shimreiyo Vashum.
In an economy where tourism now plays a vital role, he felt that the launching of this hotel can boost hospitality sector in the district that has the ample potential for tourism growth.
The hotel has 12 rooms with facilities of 24-hour power supply, TV set, spacious room installed with complete furniture and bathroom with geyser.
On demand, the customers would be served breakfast at bedroom and food in a flavour of local cuisine.
For the convenience of customers, the hotel has a wide parking space and ATM booth at the doorstep.
The tariff ranges from Rs.500 to Rs.1500 without any surcharge for services and the customer has the option to pick the room of its own choice.
